Nebraska Vows to Help Texas Fight Biden’s Border Crisis

While a crisis of any kind is never a good thing, it can be used to teach us invaluable lessons, meaning good can come out of it.

And the crisis at our nation’s southern border with Mexico, which is becoming affectionately known as “Biden’s Border Crisis,” is no different.

While Democrat President Joe Biden and his border czar Vice President Kamala Harris has effectively failed at doing, well, anything to combat the atrocities going on in our southern border lying states, such as Texas and Arizona, this crisis, much like that of COVID-19, is proving to draw people together for good.

Communities are coming together for a common cause, forgetting neighborly disputes, former arguments, and past disagreements. And, now, even states are coming together, standing up, and pledging to help each other in this time of need.

The latest of which is Nebraska.

As you may know, both Texas and Arizona have issued states of emergency all along their southern borders due to the massive influx of migrants seen in the last few months and the strain it is putting on their local communities. Local law enforcement is doing all that it can to combat the increasing number of daily crossings and crimes that go along with those crossings.

However, thanks to the Biden-Harris administration’s lack of care for the situation or security, they are no match for the horde that has overtaken these states’ southern counties.

And so Republican Governor Pete Ricketts of Nebraska is promising to help out.

In a statement made on Saturday, Ricketts promised to send over two dozen of his own Nebraska State Patrol Officers to Texas to assist in the reigning in of illegals in the state.

Ricketts said, “Nebraska is stepping up to help Texas respond to the ongoing crisis on their border with Mexico. The disastrous policies of the Biden-Harris administration created an immigration crisis on the border. While the federal government has fallen short in its response, Nebraska is happy to step up to provide assistance to Texas as they work to protect their communities and keep people safe.”

Now, it’s necessary to point out that state police and local law enforcement can do little in regards to immigration issues under usual circumstances. That is a task specifically designated for federal agencies like Border Patrol and ICE. Clearly, neither of those are doing all that much, thanks to Biden’s orders and limitations, to stem the flow of illegal migrants.

But under states of emergency, such as those recently issued by Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, the usual powers of local and state law enforcement are expanded to do what is needed. And in this case, it’s clearly to combat immigration.

According to the Examiner, “Abbott and Ducey said out-of-state law enforcement officers, as well as their own, will have broader policing authorities and be able to arrest noncitizens who come across the border on trespassing charges and human smuggling charges.”

And Nebraska isn’t the only state looking for ways to help out.

Last week, Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis made a similar move, pledging to send over Florida officers to assist Texas as well.

It’s in times like these when we see who our real friends are. But even more so, these situations also show us who our enemies are and who we shouldn’t be trusting with our safety or freedoms.

It’s clear that those who really care for America and Americans are those like Ricketts and DeSantis. They see a need and an opportunity to make a difference and do so without hesitation.

Biden and Harris, on the other hand, have done little in the last six months but to turn our government on its head, all in the name of spite. They don’t care who’s getting hurt, what America is struggling with, or what the ramifications will be later on down the road.

And if the current border crisis doesn’t prove that to you, nothing will.
