FDA Reports 60 Million Contaminated J&J Vaccine Doses At The Same Troubling Plant

Last month, Baltimore’s Emergent Biosolutions plant announced that they got the Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca vaccines confused and spoiled millions of doses. And now this month, the Food & Drug Administration ordered Johnson & Johnson to scrap about 60 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine at the exact same plant, reported that they had several health violations during an ingredient mix-up.

The FDA shared that $600 million worth of doses would have to be thrown away due to potential contamination, but that they would allow about 10 million doses to be distributed with a warning that they cannot guarantee good manufacturing practices. They reported that the agency hasn’t decided whether they would reopen the factory or keep it closed due to regulatory concerns.

“More than 100 million doses of Johnson & Johnson and at least 70 million doses of AstraZeneca were put on hold after Emergent discovered in March that its workers had contaminated a batch of Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine with a key ingredient used to produce AstraZeneca’s. Federal officials then ordered the plant to pause production, stripped Emergent of its responsibility to produce AstraZeneca’s vaccine, and instructed Johnson & Johnson to assert direct control over the manufacturing of its vaccine there,” the report reads.

The report ordered the Emergent Baltimore plant to test each company’s vaccine to rule out contamination and determine if they are safe to use. The plant has been paid more than $271 million in taxpayer money but has delayed production since the contaminated coronavirus vaccine batch. The force of 15 million doses to be trashed last month was hidden from the public by the Biden Administration while they continued to publicly brag about meeting vaccine deadlines and herd immunity rates.

Many Americans have been wary of getting the vaccine over the horrifying allergic reactions some have been getting. 74-year-old Richard Terrell said he got his Johnson & Johnson vaccine in early March and that a few days later he started to feel a bit off. He said he felt discomfort in his armpits, got an itchy rash, and then immediately started to swell up and had his skin turn red. He was admitted to the emergency room after being consulted by a dermatologist. Terrell described his skin as being so red and dry that it could be “peeled off.”

“It was stinging, burning, and itching. Whenever I bent my arms or legs, like the inside of my knee, it was very painful where the skin was swollen and was rubbing against itself,” Terrell said.

The whole idea of a free society is that citizens can make their own risk assessments and act accordingly. If Americans decide that the benefits outweigh the risks, they should get it – and vice-versa. But the talk of vaccine passports and pressure by the radical left to get the jab or be a “grandma killer” has effectively taken away that freedom.

While the vaccine has been rushed to the marketplace with tons of taxpayer money and a full waiver of any liability that they create, companies aren’t even willing to stand behind the products people have been receiving adverse reactions of to sue for damages. How could anyone ensure or believe that they are safe for everyone?
