Dems Sent $19 Million to GOP Candidates Who Now Threaten Democracy

Democratic President Joe Biden and his ilk have long presented what they see as a major problem and “threat” to the United States and our democracy. Since long before he even began to run for the White House in 2020, Biden has proposed that MAGA Republicans will ruin us and end our freedoms as we know them.

And while some might have believed this type of rhetoric back in 2021, shortly after the January 6 capital incursion, more and more Americans are no longer buying it.

Why?

Well, for starters, changing policies, even those that might lessen freedom, isn’t changing democracy. As numerous resources have defined it throughout the years, democracy is simply ‘rule by the people’ or a government in which the people choose how and by whom they are led. So as long as the people make those decisions, democracy exists – even if the people choose a different form of government entirely.

Secondly, Biden and others have failed to mention that those ‘threats to democracy’ have been financially supported by his own party.

Yep, you read that correctly.

As The Washington Post recently reported, the Democratic Party has helped finance a number of GOP candidates over the past year. In fact, the party has spent a whopping $19 million on those Republicans and their primaries.

But now, with the midterms behind us and a red wave still in full swing, Biden is calling those very same candidates ‘threats.’

One has to conclude that the results of the past week’s election were not was the progressives exactly had in mind when they sent all that money in the GOP’s direction.

Instead, they likely assumed that more people would buy their narrative that election deniers are the scum of the earth and would be our destruction. They also probably thought that making sure such ‘losers’ won their primaries would ensure a Democratic win in the general election.

If only things had gone according to their plans. But as late as Wednesday of last week, we have Democrats like Biden suddenly realizing the error of their ways and becoming rather desperate to change the coming tides.

And so, we have speeches claiming there were 300 or more ‘election deniers’ on ballots across America. Furthermore, he claimed that those individuals would ruin our great nation. He literally said that it was “damaging,” “corrosive,” and “destructive.”

Of course, it was all far too little, far too late.

Besides, there’s the fact that ‘election deniers’ have been around for decades now, including more than a few on the Democrat side.

Remember in 2016 when former President Donald Trump won the White House? His opponent and longtime loser Hillary Clinton claimed that he had cheated. Hell, even before the election itself took place, it was proved that those under her supervision put together a grand scheme to make it seem as though Trump had ‘colluded’ with Russia to win.

And since then, she and her avid supporters have claimed that Trump stole the election from Clinton. Likewise, Stacey Abrams has claimed the same about Georgia Governor Brian Kemp after a resounding loss in 2018.

In fact, even as far back as 2000, there have been known ‘election deniers.’
But what does that even mean? It isn’t as if they deny that the election took place or anything. Hell, they aren’t even denying that Biden is serving as our president.

Instead, they are simply questioning the process by which he got there. After all, there were more than a few abnormalities during the 2020 election.

As someone once mentioned, it’s kind of like your team losing a ball game due to a bad call or a bad referee. You lament it, to be sure, and would love the outcome to change. But at the end of the day, your team still lost.

Now, of course, a change in presidents affects much more than your team’s stats, as we’ve all experienced. But the result is still the same; you end up with people who question the legitimacy of the results.

That doesn’t mean democracy is at risk or that all we’ve worked for over the years has been for nothing. It simply means that not everyone is on the same page. And as the funding of these election deniers is proof of, all this talk of ‘threats to democracy’ is mere rhetoric in a desperate hour for the Dems.
