DOJ Just Stopped Nursing Home Probes, So Much For COVID-19 Families

The Biden Administration’s Department of Justice recently announced that they would stop pursuing the probe into nursing home deaths that were created by disastrous Democratic policies. It led to the death of thousands in nursing homes nationwide, specifically in New York, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

New York saw some of the highest cases, with the Cuomo administration even admitting to Dem leaders that they hid the real nursing home numbers. But it looks like Biden’s DOJ will do anything to protect Democratic leadership (and the 2022 elections that follow).

The DOJ’s Office of Legislative Affairs wrote a letter to Republican Rep. Steven Scalise explaining that they would not be launching an investigation into the elderly death scandals surrounding nursing homes in New York, Pennsylvania, or Michigan during the COVID-19 pandemic.

They said that the Civil Rights Division requested and reviewed the information provided by each state, along with the additional information available to the Department. “Based on that review, we have decided not to open a CRIPA investigation of any public nursing facility within New York, Pennsylvania, or Michigan at this time,” the DOJ wrote.

Republicans responded with harsh criticism and demanded justice for grieving families and nursing home victims. Scalise said that the families deserve “answers and accountability,” adding that it is “unconscionable” that Biden’s department is refusing to investigate these deadly actions. Killer Cuomo, for example, was let off the hook for taking action that went against the Center for Disease Control & Prevention’s guidance at the time.

House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik called the decision “complicit” in the criminal corruption scandal and coverup of deaths of thousands of vulnerable seniors. She said New Yorkers deserve answers and shouldn’t have to feel as if they’ve lost their loved ones all over again.

Even Fox News’ senior meteorologist Janice Dean, who lost her in-laws due to New York Gov. Cuomo’s scandal, said it was a terrible day for thousands of families and “no justice for our loved ones.”

Investigations are still pending by the FBI and the Brooklyn U.S Attorney’s office. Even state Auditor General Doug Ringler agreed to investigate the CDC protocols that the nursing homes violated. And while New York Attorney General Letitia James found that Cuomo’s administration changed the nursing home numbers, she’s also investigating claims of sexual assault and sexual harassment against him.

Some users even suggested getting a group together to sue the governor and the nursing homes both in a class-action lawsuit. But it shouldn’t come as a surprise to how different the treatment is between political parties.

The DOJ also lets people rot in jail for Jan 6. Protest without laying a hand on Black Lives Matter rioters, who terrorized communities all last summer. Why should people expect to treat Dem leaders any different? That’s also what happens when a political party coddles all criminal types.
