CNN’s Chris Cuomo Admits To Helping His Brother Deal With Scandals

According to recent reports, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo unsurprisingly helped his older brother New York democrat Gov. Andrew Cuomo deal with the numerous scandals against him, including sexual assault and harassment allegations.

According to the radical left, cancel culture applies when one is ostracized for one stupid comment or stunt but does not apply to someone who indirectly killed thousands with his policies and sexually assaulted several women. The only thing CNN can be trusted for is fake news and covering up for criminals.

Gov. Cuomo has been accused of sexual harassment claims by nearly a dozen women, including everything from groping a fellow staffer, to kissing a married woman, and filling an office with sexually charged and harassing language. The accusations were piling up so high that even top New York Democrats and fellow Biden Administration officials were calling on Cuomo to resign.

Not to mention, the sexual assault allegations were stacked on top of his scandal surrounding the underreporting of nursing home deaths, due to a failed handling of COVID-19.

As reported first by the Washington Post, CNN anchor Cuomo participated in several “strategy” calls with his brother to deal with the multiple claims and how to respond to the allegations. The calls included Gov. Cuomo’s top aide, his communications team, lawyers, and a number of outside advisers. Chris Cuomo, along with two others on the call, had cited “cancel culture” as one of the main reasons why Cuomo should not resign and that he should hold “firm in the face of allegations.”

When the story broke, a CNN spokesperson called Chris’s involvement “inappropriate” and that he should have never participated in conversations with the Governor’s staff. The network will reportedly not be disciplining Cuomo for the revelations and Gov. Cuomo aides have insisted that his brother was only a mere part of the informal support effort. They said that Chris did not lead the conversation and mainly gave political advice, rather than addressing the woman’s accounts.

“Chris has not been involved in CNN’s extensive coverage of the allegations against Governor Cuomo – on-air or behind the scenes. In part because, as he has said on his show, he could never be objective. But also because he often serves as a sounding board for his brother. However, it was inappropriate to engage in conversations that included members of the Governor’s staff, which Chris acknowledges. He will not participate in such conversations going forward,” the CNN spokesperson said.

The acknowledgment, alone, was not enough. New Yorker staff writer and Columbia Journalism School professor Nicholas Lehman pointed out the conflict of interest and said it is “not okay” to actively advise a politician in trouble while being an on-air host on a news network.

Women’s group UltraViolet has called on CNN to immediately suspend Chris Cuomo amid the revelations that he advised his brother. They called it “deeply disturbing and completely unacceptable” that the network avoided holding Cuomo accountable and raises questions as to whether his position at the network could intimidate or silence other reporters looking into the story. They called on CNN to conduct a thorough investigation into his position of authority at the network and whether or not it impacted how others covered the allegations against his brother.

“This wasn’t just a brother talking to his brother about their lives, or even about politics. This was a major network news anchor advising the Governor to actively push back against sexual harassment allegations and denigrate survivors of abuse by defining their calls for accountability as ‘cancel culture,’” UltraViolet issued in a statement.

Democrats have entirely lost their ability to recognize right or wrong and have created a reality where their desired ends justify all their means. The Cuomo brothers will continue to do whatever gives them the most political power, regardless of how wrong their behavior is. Figures, CNN wouldn’t hold a Democrat accountable.
