Texas Democrat Stabs Biden in the Back by Outing Administration on Migrant Crisis

The Biden administration has worked hard to make the American people believe that they’ve been better at handling the crisis of migrants coming over the southern border into the United States from Mexico and other countries to the south, but it appears that even those in his part are having trouble keeping the party line together.

Not only have Republicans called out the Democratic administration, but now even a Texas Democrat has claimed that Biden isn’t being entirely honest with American voters over what is an issue of monumental importance to a lot of America.

According to a report in The Daily Wire Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) has out and out accused the Biden administration of misleading the American public concerning President Joe Biden’s level of success about their immigration policies.

This accusation came on the heels of the Department of Homeland Security releasing photos of the migrant processing facilities on the Texas border town of Donna, Texas on Tuesday showing sparsely occupied plastic cages where it has been widely reported children were previously packed in tightly, seeming to indicate that the Biden administration has effectively dealt with the crisis fo illegal immigrants that have been making their way into the United States, some by hook and some by crook.

According to Cuellar, the photos are wildly misleading and they only seem to show low census in the child detention centers because there is still a tent compound flooding with children but it’s in another section of the compound. The children and teens have officially been moved from the custody of Customs and Border Patrol Patrol into the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services.

“All they’re doing is they’re moving kids from one tent to the other tent and saying, ‘Oh, they’re not in the Border Patrol [custody],’ but they’re right next door,” Cuellar told Border Report. “They’re just next door in HHS.”

The statement that came along with the reportedly misleading photos from Tuesday shoed DHS knowing that the children were in HHS custody, but still pointed to the almost empty containment units as some sort of glowing success for the Biden administration (when he literally just passed the kids off from one department to another).

DHS again pounded the drum of blaming the Trump administration for any and all ills associated with migrants on the southern border:

“DHS and HHS were left to rebuild the capacity to shelter and process the children, after having inherited a system that had been entirely dismantled by the prior administration. These photos demonstrate the tremendous progress that DHS and its partners have made to safely and efficiently transfer unaccompanied children out of CBP custody and into the care of the Department of Health and Human Services.”

That statement wasn’t the only one to be handed down from on high as the newly minted administration tries to do damage control on their frustratingly troubling inability to do anything about the warm bodies that are packing out more and more government-run facilities.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki began her Tuesday press briefing also pointing the finger at (well you know, anyone but Biden, but also) Trump specifically:

“After four years of an immigration system rooted in destructive and chaotic policies, President Biden is taking the challenge head-on and is building a fair, orderly and humane immigration system. That’s our objective,” Psaki said. “After coming into office, our administration immediately jumped into action to address the influx of migrants at the border, something that began during and was exacerbated by the Trump administration.”

For his part, however, Cuellar could keep silent no longer, laying blame at the feet of his party’s leader, saying that the Biden administration needs to do more to recognize that what they’re doing isn’t working:

“I did notice that the president did not talk about the border. There is a border crisis, no ifs about it,” Cuellar said, referring to Biden’s speech to Congress. “The numbers are still high.”

“They’re doing a little better on the upflow itself but what about the inflow?” Cuellar asked. “That’s people coming in. Those numbers are still coming in.”
