One of the greatest things about Trump II, Return of MAGA, has been President Trump’s vice presidential pick: J.D. Vance. He’s a lot more involved than most vice presidents, and in every measurable way – intelligence, speaking ability, attitude, competence, and so on – he’s a vast upgrade from his immediate predecessor.
Granted, that’s not setting the bar very high. But Vice President Vance is a star, and there’s no reason to think that after this term as vice president, we will have seen the last of him.
Case in point: On Tuesday, the vice president took to his official X account to deliver a verbal butt-whooping to the various activist judges, Democrats, and the legacy media (but I repeat myself) who are opposing the Trump administration’s efforts to actually enforce immigration law.
By all means, examine the entire post, but due to its lengthiness, let’s just look at a couple of highlights.
Consider that Joe Biden allowed approximately 20 million illegal aliens into our country. This placed extraordinary burdens on our country–our schools, hospitals, housing, and other essential services were overwhelmed. On top of that, many of these illegal aliens committed violent crimes, or facilitated fentanyl and sex trafficking. That is the situation we inherited.
There’s a reason they did that, of course, and a lot of it has to do with the census and the apportionment of House districts. Don’t think it’s about compassion or anything like that; illegal aliens living in a city are counted by the census just as are citizens, which is patently ridiculous, but that’s the hand we are dealt – for the moment – and that’s why Democrats are so determined to bring these people in and keep them here. No matter who they are.
When the media and the far left obsess over an MS-13 gang member and demand that he be returned to the United States for a *third* deportation hearing, what they’re really saying is they want the vast majority of illegal aliens to stay here permanently.
And they are defending criminals. There is literally no gang-banger, no rapist, no murderer, no illegal alien so utterly irredeembly evil that some Democrat politician won’t protest their being sent back to where they came from.

And here’s the kicker:
Here’s a useful test: ask the people weeping over the lack of due process what precisely they propose for dealing with Biden’s millions and millions of illegals. And with reasonable resource and administrative judge constraints, does their solution allow us to deport at least a few million people per year?
If the answer is no, they’ve given their game away. They don’t want border security. They don’t want us to deport the people who’ve come into our country illegally. They want to accomplish through fake legal process what they failed to accomplish politically:
The ratification of Biden’s illegal migrant invasion.
And there’s more to it than that. As noted, there’s the census issue. The next census is in 2030, which won’t help the Democrats in 2026, 2028, or even 2030, but never let it be said that these people aren’t in it for the long haul. They are thinking at least a decade ahead, and we had better start doing the same.
We need to start vigorously enforcing immigration law. We’re getting known criminals and gang members out, and that’s good. Some of the other illegal immigrants, seeing the writing on the wall, are self-deporting. But the pace has to pick up. There are millions – millions of people in the country illegally. And while many of them are from Latin America, the troubling fact is that there are thousands from the Middle East and China, places that are not friendly to the United States, who are also here illegally, having streamed across the undefended southern and northern borders during the Biden administration. Now we have little or no idea, in many cases, who these people are, what they are doing, or what they have planned.
The Trump administration must stay the course. We are either a nation of laws or we are not. The Democrats, clearly, would prefer we were not. But a rule by people, not by law, has always proven disastrous; just ask old Cicero, whose hands and head were nailed to the Senate rostrum for opposing Mark Antony. We must be a nation of laws – and that includes immigration law.
Fortunately, it looks like we have the right people on the case, from the president and vice president to Tom “The Hammer” Homan, who has been on the front line of this effort from Day 1. Stay the course!
