The Funniest Parts of CNN’s Reaction to Kamala’s Disastrous Town Hall

As we reported, Vice President Kamala Harris’ CNN town hall did not go well.

Harris made most of the town hall about former President Donald Trump, but couldn’t explain the basic question of why she hadn’t fixed any of the issues she was talking about while she has been in office for the last four years. Indeed, she’s only made the problems worse. “I’m pointing out things that need to be done that haven’t been done that need to be done,” she yammered to Anderson Cooper.

As we reported, Dana Bash said people didn’t think she closed the deal; she couldn’t name a legislative priority.

She might have “closed the deal” — but in favor of Trump.

Even Jake Tapper called out that she was focusing more on Trump than giving “specific” answers.

Here was a great example of that as she lied about the wall that Trump built — he built almost 500 miles of wall, and the only reason he didn’t build more was because the Democrats kept trying to stop him all along the way.

Then, the Biden-Harris team wasted millions to not finish the wall. It was insane.

Her response on the question of the border was basically that she was a prosecutor and that the system was “broken.”

It was better under Trump, and she deliberately broke it.

Even David Axelrod talked about her not answering and instead offering up “word salad city.’ “She would acknowledge no concerns about any of the administration’s policies, and that’s a mistake,” he said. Nor did she relate to the people who were asking her questions.

When even Axelrod is dinging her, you know it’s pretty bad.

But perhaps the funniest part had to be how commentator David Urban broke it down and the deflated looks on the people around him, in particular Democratic operative David Axelrod.

Urban said Republicans would take another hour of Harris talking, “We’d just press play and let her keep going.” The more she talks, the worse it is. She is now defining herself by her failure to answer and people don’t like it, as the diving polls show. Urban called out the word salad answer she gave as to why she hasn’t fixed the problems while she’s been occupying the office for four years already. He explained her answer about costs was she was “going to prosecute corporations.” How does that make the costs better generally? Even Van Jones nodded at that like, “Yeah, that wasn’t good.”  “Trump bad isn’t a message that is going to get her elected,” Urban concluded.

The look on Axelrod’s face was gold — that said it all.

Talk about a sad trombone.
