NBC News Files Hilarious Hurt Feelings Report Over Biden Siding With DeSantis Instead of Kamala

If there’s one thing we didn’t expect to see amid the debate over storm prep/relief efforts after Hurricane Helene and ahead of Milton it was President Joe Biden refusing to take the bait on (ridiculous) questions about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ leadership.

Time after time over the last couple of weeks, we’ve seen Biden resist calls from the media to criticize DeSantis’ handling of both hurricanes, insisting that they’d been in contact, that he was confident in DeSantis’ abilities, and that DeSantis knew he could call Biden’s personal phone number if he needed anything.

Most recently, Biden fielded a question from a reporter who point-blank asked him about the NBC News hit piece on DeSantis allegedly not taking Vice President Kamala Harris’ post-Helene call. When Biden was asked if DeSantis should be answering when she calls, Biden simply said that DeSantis had been “gracious” in their interactions and that he was aware of “what we are doing.”

Biden’s answers, in particular the one he gave Wednesday, have been a big blow to the media/Kamala Harris-driven narratives about how DeSantis is “selfish” and “playing politics” by supposedly refusing to confer with her even though she has no role whatsoever when these disasters hit, as DeSantis has repeatedly pointed out.

But in a desperate bid to keep this story alive, NBC News filed a follow-up “report” as Milton was battering the Florida coast, proclaiming a “source” told them Biden allegedly was not aware that DeSantis had allegedly not taken her call when he was asked the question:

Korecki later locked down her replies so no one could respond to her due to the backlash she got over the piece.

Relatedly, we also learned from the so-called “source” that Biden did not mean his comments about DeSantis to be viewed as a “jab” at Harris:

President Joe Biden hadn’t been briefed about a back-and-forth between Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Vice President Kamala Harris over hurricane recovery before he praised him as “gracious” in a news conference Wednesday, a source familiar with the situation said.
[…]
That Biden didn’t include a response about her wasn’t meant as a jab at Harris, whom he endorsed as the Democratic nominee to replace him when he stepped aside from the top of the ticket on July 21. Biden hadn’t been briefed about the dynamic involving Harris and DeSantis, the person familiar with the situation said.
“He wasn’t tracking a specific back-and-forth,” the source said, adding that Biden was “focused on the response itself.” The person was granted anonymity to speak freely about the matter.

This is the definition of a hurt feelings report from the MSM. Their efforts to bolster Kamala Harris’ non-existent leadership credentials at the expense of an actual leader like DeSantis failed miserably thanks in part to Joe Biden himself. In response, they’ve got to spin it as though Biden wouldn’t have said what he had about DeSantis had he known about the supposed “refusal” to take her call. Oh, and they also want people to believe that Biden wasn’t actually throwing Harris under the bus (spoiler: he was).

This is peak media election interference, y’all. Straight up. That this story was even written is a testament to that fact, but to think that the article was composed, filed, and published as a devastating storm was pummeling DeSantis’ state really tells you how warped the media’s priorities are.

Focus on the storm and the havoc it is wreaking on residents or focus on White House/Harris campaign damage control attempts in response to how the politicization of the storm backfired spectacularly? We see which direction they chose to go, and it tells us everything about them – with none of it being good.

Bingo.
