CNN’s Wolf Blitzer is known for being a Trump-hating news anchor and Washington Wizards fan—proving he simply doesn’t know how to pick a winner. The network’s ratings are not good; they currently have a nice streak of coming in dead last in each ratings report. In January, the network moved Blitzer’s show, ‘The Situation Room’ from his 6 P.M. slot to the morning—we all know what that means. CNN’s product is generally garbage. Their ratings are garbage, so they move around the garbage in hopes more people will watch somehow.
This morning, Blitzer decided to drive through Union Station, where President Trump has posted the National Guard to clean up the area and send a clear message to visitors entering our great Capitol city. The drugs are gone, along with the homeless encampment. Wolf decided to post a photo of the big, bad government effort to keep the area beautiful, which furthered him being roasted online. In the original post, Blitzer states:
“This is what I saw when I drove by Washington DC’s Union Station this morning.”
Before we get to the hilarious reactions from X, I want to make a point that may be unknown about Union Station. The entrance to the beautiful historical site is a large roundabout with a fountain and large columns across the drive path. When you exit the station, you are immediately met with the grandeur of our stunning Capitol building. It’s truly a sight to behold. It’s also a one-way drive with pickup and dropoff lanes out front—which means Blitzer had to go out of his way and wait through the line just to take this photo. Talk about a self-own. The reactions online are as priceless as the Capitol view.
Influencer Greg Price said, “Oh no! It’s a soldier and a Humvee as opposed to the usual cracked out homeless person and tent city.”
Alec Lace, host of the Alec Lace Show posted simply, “Wolf preferred Union Station when it looked like this 👇🏻”
X user Erin Kelley posted how we’re all really feeling, “I would love to see that in every major US city, especially as a woman, resident, or tourist to those cities! Happy to spend my tax dollars on that vs. PBS, Iraq Sesame Street, etc.”
The District of Columbia is already seeing a massive drop in crime. The D.C. Police Union released numbers earlier this week, confirming President Trump made the right decision to intervene:
For Blitzer, receiving a high salary from CNN and sitting court-side at Wizards games inoculates him from the reality that the rest of us have to deal with in D.C.: High crime, drugs, and unsightly homeless encampments. This is why Trump is the working man’s president. He looks for ways to bring everyone on the same level, and when it comes to our nation’s Capitol, we are all grateful.
