Though it goes without saying, it bears repeating that Democrats simply wouldn’t be Democrats without the grandstanding, gaslighting, and temper tantrums, all of which have predictably been on full display ahead of the joint address to Congress that President Donald Trump will be giving Tuesday night.
As RedState detailed earlier, while there are some who will not be attending in protest, there reportedly are plans in the works for myriad Democrat disruptions during the speech, which are said to include bringing signs, eggs and/or empty egg cartons, and hand clappers. Because “unity” and all that.
There also may be some walkouts among the Democrat members of Congress. “Criticism of transgender kids was brought up as a line in the sand that could trigger members to storm out, according to a House Democrat,” Axios reported.

Sadly for Democrats, there have also been the pre-speech messaging fails, like in the discovery that in several clips currently circulating on social media, Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Sens. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Tim Kaine (D-VA), and Mark Kelly (D-AZ) were caught using the exact same script — right down to the curse words in videos criticizing Trump and blaming him for the rising prices of groceries, gas, etc.
In four of them – the ones with Booker, Warren, Kelly, and Kaine, they all use the same sit-down move as well, a sign that it was probably written into the script:
Some, including WMAL talk radio host Vince Coglianese, jokingly speculated that the cuts DOGE has implemented might have something to do with Democrats being “forced” to read from the same script:
As we also documented, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) didn’t help matters for his party by filming a poorly conceived video of himself standing all alone while proclaiming that millions of voters were with Democrats in standing against Trump.
I would once again ask “why are Democrats so bad at this?” but I think the main reason why is pretty clear. In a nutshell, it’s what happens when you are afflicted with a severe and long-running case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
