It’s generally not considered to be good form to laugh at those who are down on their luck or facing hard times. That being said, the left has laughed at us for four long years, scoffing at our little lives as they shoved DEI and radical gender theory down our throats, sent prices of basically everything through the roof, and abandoned any semblance of a border.
Schadenfreude is a word that has been coming to my mind a lot these days as we see the political world turned on its head with the stunning comeback of President Donald J. Trump. The German word is defined by Merriam-Webster as “enjoyment obtained from the troubles of others,” and if I’m a bad person for enjoying the meltdown of the left, then so be it. Sorry, but they deserve it after what they did to this country.
In that vein, I have exactly zero sympathy for extremist MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, who was making $25 million a year for showing up just one night a week but has now deigned to show up for five in order to actually work for her bloated salary.

Cue the Sad Music: MSNBC Boss Is Out Just Days Before the Inauguration
She’s taking the Trump reemergence hard, and is predictably screeching as her ship sinks beneath the waves:
Trump’s inauguration was attended by disparate guests, ranging from Argentinean President Javier Milei to musician Carrie Underwood, but it was the image of Apple CEO Tim Cook hobnobbing with Trump Homeland Security nominee Kristi Noem that sent the MSNBC host into a frenzy.
“Kristi Noem, the nominee for homeland security, next to Apple CEO Tim Cook. How is this happening in America?” Maddow lamented.
“How is this happening? Why are people with tons of money up on the dais with Cabinet nominees and family members?”
Did you speak up when Biden gave the Presidential Medal of Freedom to his billionaire buddy George Soros in early January? Didn’t think so.
The real question, Rachel, is how did the disaster that was the four years of the Biden-Harris trainwreck “happen in America?” It’s going to be tough four (or more) years for the spiteful anchor:
Here she is losing her mind over Trump’s plan to end birthright citizenship:
Starting before Monday’s Maddow Meltdown, even the left was seemingly growing tired of her antics. Saturday Night Live surprisingly savaged her in a skit over the weekend that was pretty darn funny:
We’ve written extensively about the troubles of MSNBC and their plummeting ratings since Trump’s win, and we’ve reported on how parent company Comcast plans to spin off the failed network (along with other properties) into a separate entity. Why do we cover these idiots? Because not very long ago, they held influence, and their skewed viewpoints, along with so many others in the corrupt corporate media world, were allowed to dominate, and that’s partly what led to the most disastrous administration in American history.

We must continue to expose, mock and fight back against these anti-American zealots, or they will come crawling back. For now, though, Maddow is a mess, and I’m fine with that.
Schadenfreude. It’s what’s for dinner.
Most of the media is so corrupt and so in bed with the Democrats and the progressives that you can’t believe anything they say.
At RedState, we’ll continue to bring you the truth, and we hope you’ll help us in that effort.
Until midnight Tuesday, we’re offering an insane 74% percent off our VIP membership with the code POTUS47. There are so many benefits, but to me, the best one is that you get to become part of our raucous discussion boards.
The new Platinum level gets you access to all of the Townhall sites, including VIP content, plus access to a catalog of feature-length films and a credit to the new Townhall store.
Did I say 74 percent?!
You can use that to upgrade (the VIP Platinum or Gold annual memberships are by far the best value!) or to give the gift of RedState VIP membership to a friend or family member. Be a part of the Townhall Media team.
Thanks, readers!
