There are a lot of inaugural events coming up soon, and there’s one announcement that’s a big surprise but is pretty cool.
Guess what? The Village People are actually going to play at Turning Point’s Inaugural Eve Ball.
Not only that, they are also going to play at the victory rally at the Capitol One Arena in D.C., the day before the inauguration. Kid Rock and Billy Ray Cyrus will also be playing at that event. Trump will be at both the rally and the Inaugural Eve ball, so he’s going to have a great time with them actually playing the song live.
Trump loves their hit song “Y.M.C.A.”, and his playing it at his rallies in 2024 helped to drive the song to No. 1 on the Billboard chart after more than 45 years (and held on to No. 1 for two weeks), as lead singer Victor Willis explained.
The financial benefits have been great as well as Y.M.C.A. is estimated to gross several million dollars since the President Elect’s continued use of the song. Therefore, I’m glad I allowed the President Elect’s continued use of Y.M.C.A. And I thank him for choosing to use my song.
Willis also clarified that despite what many people thought, it wasn’t written as some sort of gay anthem.

You can hear Joe Rogan thoroughly enjoying that Jones did the Trump dance. Jones also gave Trump a thumbs-up of approval.
The Village People performing promises to be part of a lot of fun as Trump gets inaugurated. Carrie Underwood, Christopher Macchio, and Lee Greenwood are also going to be singing at the inauguration. We can finally say goodbye to the horrible Biden-Harris and that freedom is certainly is worthy of music and many Trump dances.
