It’s been a very troubling day with what looks like two terrorist attacks in one day, one in New Orleans and another apparent one outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas.
The one in New Orleans is being linked to ISIS and the authorities are looking for other suspects who they believe were involved. It hasn’t been confirmed that the one in Las Vegas is connected yet to the New Orleans attack, but as we reported earlier, the truck used in the New Bourbon Street attack was rented through Turo and so was the cybertruck in Las Vegas. We’ll have to see if there’s something more as everything unfolds. But police are looking into the Vegas case as a possible terror attack as well.
Elon Musk explained what was involved in the explosion of the cybertruck.
We have now confirmed that the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the vehicle itself.
All vehicle telemetry was positive at the time of the explosion.
Moreover, reports indicate there were, in fact, explosives contained in the truck.
The explosives contained in the truck were described as fireworks, gas tanks and camping fuel, which authorities believe were connected to a detonation system controlled by the driver, according to the official.

Now Sen. John Kennedy has said something that is raising some more questions/concerns about what other threats might be hanging out there.
Q: “Are you getting the sense that there is any threat of any other potential attacks tonight on any other major cities?”
Sen. John Kennedy: “I can’t answer that. I can, but I won’t.”
I don’t know about you but that sounds like he’s heard something, perhaps in a classified setting or a police setting that he isn’t allowed to reveal, in regard to the concept of greater threats. But it surely doesn’t sound like “There’s nothing to worry about anymore.”
Kennedy earlier said that Louisianans were scared but he didn’t want them to be, and “I promise you this: When it is appropriate and the investigation is complete — you will find out what happened, or I will raise fresh hell.”

I trust Kennedy is telling us as much as he can at this point, but there’s clearly something there. It might be the question of the other suspects, I mean you can’t really say it’s finished until you know that those people have been rounded up. I think Kennedy just doesn’t want to get out over his skis and say something he can’t.
So hopefully they’re on it and get this figured out as soon as possible.
