We’ve had the distinct pleasure of following the Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation over the years, chronicling their many successes. We’ve celebrated their fifth anniversary, trips to California, a trip to Hawaii, and we even covered when they instructed and trained a blind youth. Recently our friend Mike Sodini from Walk the Talk America spotlighted Kids S.A.F.E. and highlighted the importance of firearm safety education for youth. Earlier this year, Kids S.A.F.E. hit a “significant milestone: reaching over 29,000 kids across five states,” and we’re celebrating with them.
Founded in 2016, the Foundation remains committed to its mission of educating children and families on gun safety, whether or not they have firearms in their homes. Derek LeBlanc, President of the Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation, reflects on this achievement, emphasizing the organization’s inclusive and apolitical approach.
“Our goal has always been to provide a safe, educational environment for children to learn about gun safety. We believe that knowledge and education are the keys to preventing accidents and saving lives. It’s not about politics; it’s about protecting our kids.” LeBlanc said in a statement.
The Foundation’s reach has expanded significantly since its inception, now offering programs in Oregon, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri. These classes are designed to be accessible and engaging, teaching children the critical steps they need to take if they ever encounter a firearm. A key component of the Foundation’s success is its partnership with Vaultek Safe, a leading manufacturer of high-quality gun safes. Vaultek Safe has generously sponsored the gun safety classes in Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri, enabling the Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation to extend its life-saving education to more communities.
Vaultek Safe is a Florida-based safe manufacturer. Vaultek is known for producing innovative secure firearm solutions, specifically with a focus on quick access for authorized users. Vaultek has product solutions ranging from stationary in-home lock boxes to a multitude of portable – TSA compliant – travel safes.
This is not the first time that Vaultek has supported the Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation. Earlier this year they renewed their support of the organization, and we also covered when they pledged their initial support of the foundation in 2023.
“Working with Vaultek Safe has been instrumental in our ability to reach more children and families,” LeBlanc explains. “Their support helps us deliver our message effectively and ensures that our programs are available to those who need them most.”
The Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation’s programs are tailored to be family-friendly and non-partisan, making them ideal for all households, regardless of their stance on firearms. By focusing on safety and education, the Foundation aims to create a culture of awareness and prevention that transcends political divides.!As the Foundation looks to the future, it remains dedicated to expanding its reach and continuing to provide vital education to children across the nation. With the continued support of partners like Vaultek Safe and the dedication of its team, the Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation is poised to make an even greater impact in the years to come.
Kids S.A.F.E. reaching more kids across five states is something to celebrate for sure. Without the generous support from industry partners who care about other industry partners, the great work that LeBlanc does would not be possible.
Vaultek is proof positive that gun owners do go out of their way to take care of other gun owners. The ambassadorship that’s able to come from these crucial relationships goes against the anti-liberty narrative.
Congratulations to Kids S.A.F.E. and many thanks to Vaultek for being active participants in our Second Amendment community!
