Ben Carson Calls Critical Race Theory A Bunch Of Garbage, Teacher Unions Pledge To Push CRT In All 50 States

The National Education Association, the nation’s largest teacher union, held its annual representative assembly over the July 4th holiday weekend. During the virtual event, the union pledged to teach Critical Race Theory in all 50 states and across more than 14,000 school districts that the union works with. Staff members shared that they would be providing members with information on how to “fight back against anti-CRT rhetoric” and share the information with other community members.

The NEA vowed to include the “accurate and honest teaching” of Critical Race Theory and the New York Times 1619 Project, which have been heavily scrutinized by historians. They said they would continue to fund opposition research against organizations that oppose Critical Race Theory.

“NEA will research the organizations attacking educators doing anti-racist work and/or use the research already done and put together a list of resources and recommendations for state affiliates, locals, and individual educators to utilize when they are attacked,” the NEA business item reads.

The NEA also planned on teaming up with organizations such as Black Lives Matter and the Zinn Education Project to call for an October 14 rally in honor of George Floyd’s birthday. They said it would be a “national day of action” to teach about structural racism and oppression.

Many people continue to oppose the topic of Critical Race Theory and fight against it being taught in schools, including a famous neurosurgeon and former Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson. He referred to Critical Race Theory as “a bunch of garbage” while appearing on Greg Kelly Reports and said that the term is being thrown around without people understanding exactly what it is.

The Encyclopedia Britannica currently defines Critical Race Theory as the concept in which race is a “socially constructed category” intended to maintain social, economic, and political inequalities, along with holding the U.S society as “inherently or systematically racist.”

It is the premise that Black Americans qualify as victims based simply on their skin color and that White people are the cause of that victimhood and should feel ashamed. No one alive today was ever a slave or slave owner in America, including their parents or grandparents. But the U.S Government and radical left continue to endorse CRT-related training with taxpayer dollars. Their goal is to teach children to view every social situation through the lens of race.

Carson reiterated the definition, going on to explain that it is “an attempt to use race as a mechanism for redefining our society. Redefining what it was based on, and how it impacts everybody. And it wants our people to believe that your race is the most critical determinant of who you are and what happens to you and our society. In other words, it’s a bunch of garbage.”

Carson said he is in a unique position when it comes to race because he is a neurosurgeon. He said that when he peels back the scalp and takes the bone flap off and opens the dura, he’s looking at the thing that makes a person who they are.

“It’s not their nose or their hair or the skin that makes them who they are. It is their brain and the way that it processes information. That’s what determines your character,” Carson said.

Dr. Carson is the kind of person that is “too good for politics” and is right to believe that our brain defines us. He defined CRT much better than anyone else. History needs to be taught to our young people, along with respecting the flag and our country, but none of that CRT “garbage.”

  1. Dr. Carson is correct. Even though I spent my life as an engineer/geologist, I have always been a student of History … world and US. Defiling history is an exercise in futility. History records the actions of man throughout his existence on this planet. Yes, some 60,00 yers since Homo sapiens wandered out of Africa. I can pick any date of recorded hIstory … say the past 2,000 years. Slavery has been in existence since man organized a so-called proper civilized societal status. It was entirely proper to have slaves; and it still is today in many parts of the so-called civilized world. The founding fathers lived in a different society – slavery was proper. However, many Americans found slavery against all religious and moral beliefs. Came the Civil War … actually fought on an economic basis and not slavery. However, slavery became the main issue as the war progressed. Lincoln freed the slaves in America. Yes, time passed before it finally sank in to some iron- headed people. Americans are the freest people on planet Earth. So, love it or leave it!
