Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has been a vocal critic of Critical Race Theory and announced a piece of legislation, cited as the END CRT Act, that would block federal funds from going towards teaching it in workplace training. He blasted President Joe Biden and his administration for trying to use government funding towards anti-American or racist and sexist training, like CRT. He called CRT a Marxist ideology that sees the world as a battle, not between classes, but between the races.
“The federal government has no right to force a political agenda onto Americans, especially one that aims to tear down our institutions and divide us based on race,” Cruz said.
Cruz said he introduced the to help stop the Democratic Party from indoctrinating Americans with radical ideology and curriculum that undermines civil rights. END CRT Act would act similarly to Trump’s 2020 executive that banned agencies, contractors, and recipients from imposing diversity training. He said he would prohibit the spread of ideological thought that blames a person’s sex or race primarily for their station in life.
On President Biden’s first day of , he repealed the to banning workshops that were described as “divisive” and “un-American.”
Sens. Rick Scott, Marsha Blackburn, and Mike Braun, also introduced bills to condemn these teachings from being taught in K-12 schools. Wisconsin GOP Rep. Glenn Grothman also introduced a measure to stop D.C schools from anti-racism training saying that it “teaches our children to hate.” He said Critical Race Theory teaches students that they are defined by the color of their skin, not the content of their character. The curriculum promotes the idea that the United States is fundamentally racist or sexist.
The ‘woke’ rhetoric has gotten so bad that it’s spread to top army bases and branches of the U.S Military. Space Force commander Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier was even forced to step down after criticizing Critical Race Theory in a recent podcast.
Lohmeier was on the podcast promoting his new book, “Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military,” which talks about the spread of Marxist-related training and curriculum and how it is a potential threat to US national security.
“My intent never has been to engage in partisan politics. I have written a book about a particular political ideology (Marxism) in the hope that our Defense Department might return to being politically nonpartisan in the future as it has honorably done throughout ,” Lohmeier said.
He even adds that the Department of Defense has been quoted as saying there are “too many white pilots” while having a shortage of pilots. They lump conservatives into a group of people labeled as extremists and try to argue and hold them accountable for every single view they voice.
The federal government has no right to impose its radical ideology or divisive tactics into schools, let alone branches of the military. These kinds of teachings result in nothing but a fight.
