The Fight Against Critical Race Theory In Our Schools

Many GOP lawmakers have been fighting against the ideological poison of Critical Race Theory being taught in the military and classrooms. The theory suggests that America is racist to its absolute ‘core’ and that the white majority uses these ideas to discriminate and oppress racial minorities. It teaches individuals to view all social interactions and encounters under the lens of race. This sounds like the opposite of racism, but what else would you expect with a divisive left-wing agenda?

Texas has been one of the first states fighting against Critical Race Theory in HB 4093, which would prohibit its teachings in K-12 schools. The bill would essentially prohibit public schools from promoting any of the theories taught in Critical Race Theory including race essentialism, collective guilt, and neo-segregation.

“In the instruction of the essential knowledge and any state agency, school district, campus, open-enrollment charter school, or school administration shall be required to engage in training, orientation, or therapy that presents any form of race or sex-stereotyping or blame on the basis of race or sex,” the bill reads.

In the bill, state and school employees shall not make part of any courses that would teach one race or sex to be superior to the other, an individual being inherently racist or sexist based on his or her race or sex (whether consciously or unconsciously), or using any traits, specific treatment, or stereotyping of members of a particular race or sex.

Schools cannot use any private funding to teach, develop, or purchase these curriculum theories. This would prevent groups like Black Lives Matter from trying to put their Marxist-like social and civics studies into learning associations. It’s nothing but a dangerous and stereotypical ideology.

Besides public schools, Critical Race Theory is also being pushed into military trainings. Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton introduced a bill demanding that these divisive and anti-American ideas be removed from learning institutions. It does not restrict the First Amendment or prevent members from accessing materials but would reject it from related work trainings.

“Our military’s strengths depend on the unity of our troops and the knowledge that America is a noble nation worth fighting for. Critical race theory teaches that race is a person’s most important characteristic and that America is an evil, oppressive place. That idea may be fashionable in left-wing circles and college classrooms, but it has no place in our military,” Sen. Cotton said.

New Hampshire is also addressing Critical Race Theory bans by introducing HB 544, which would prohibit its teachings from any entities in a contract with the state. While a group of New Hampshire businesses and organizations are looking to block the bill and said it would “harm” the ability of the business atmosphere, it was recently approved by a state House committee and will be debated by the full House later this week.

Even Tucker Carlson called out Critical Race Theory for what it really is: The latest attempt by the most privileged people in our society, the celebrities, politicians, college professors, and talk show hosts to disdain the blame for their mismanagement of the country on to the people below them. It does nothing but divide the country further and point the blame on a specific group entirely rather than the personal responsibility of many.
